2024 NBA playoffs: Second-round scores

Round 2 of the 2024 NBA playoffs sees ongoing battles: Pacers and Nuggets tied against Knicks and Timberwolves, respectively; Cavaliers trail Celtics 2-1, Thunder face uphill vs. Mavericks.

The NBA playoffs are underway, and the second round is proving to be close and exciting. Both the Pacers and Nuggets managed to tie their respective series against the Knicks and Timberwolves. The Pacers dominated Game 4 in front of their home crowd, leaving the Knicks with limited time to prepare for Game 5 on Tuesday. The Nuggets, on the other hand, pulled off back-to-back wins on the road in Minnesota, tying their series with the Wolves at 2-2.

The Cavaliers and Thunder will aim to follow the lead of the Pacers and Nuggets by leveling their series on Monday night. The Cavaliers are facing an uphill battle against the top-seeded Celtics, currently trailing 2-1. After suffering their first home loss of the playoffs on Saturday, the Cavaliers will look to bounce back with Donovan Mitchell leading the charge against Jayson Tatum and the Celtics.

The Thunder, in a similar position, will need to secure a road win to tie their series. The Mavericks have taken control with two straight victories against OKC, despite Luka Doncic not being at full strength.

The postseason began with 20 teams, but the Warriors, Kings, Hawks, and Bulls were eliminated in the Play-In Tournament. The Pelicans, Suns, Clippers, Lakers, Heat, 76ers, Bucks, and Magic were all sent packing in the first round.
